Choose Import voice file or Bank actions → Import SysEx or backup. Supported: one163-byte classic DX7 single voice (format00,155 data bytes) or one4,104-byte32-voice bank (format09,4,096 data bytes). Header F0/43, substatus0/channel0–15, exact byte count,7-bit payload, valid checksum and parameter ranges are required. Names contain ten printable ASCII bytes32–126. Unsupported reserved bits are rejected. No silent checksum repair.
Rejects ACED/performance/4-op data, SMF, ZIP and concatenated dumps. Other synth formats may resemble DX7 messages; use only files documented for these classic voice layouts. Hardware behavior has not been tested.
Tap one of six operators. Adjust sliders or exact steppers. Voice tab holds name, algorithm1–32, feedback, pitch envelope and LFO. Fixed frequency is displayed as raw coarse/fine values. Curves are schematic level stages, not seconds or audible results. No sound synthesis, routing diagram, MIDI sending or hardware connection.
Use operator copy/paste within the workspace. Slot menu replaces a slot with the selected voice or moves it one slot. Comparisons always refer to the immutable original at the destination slot. Bank actions save/restore named voice versions, rename, duplicate or delete. JSON restore creates a separate copy.
Files → choose channel1–16 → Build checked files. Generated single voice and32-slot bank are re-imported internally and compared with all edited parameters. Share all files or individual outputs through the system Share sheet. Voice sheet includes four PDF pages; changes CSV includes every altered byte across bank slots. Original.syx remains byte-identical. JSON restores the complete bank and versions. Review the receiving tool's manual before transferring.
24 banks;64 named voice versions per bank; bank names80/notes2,000/version names60 characters. Rename voices with1–10 printable ASCII characters. Backup import under2MB. No automatic cloud sync. Export backups before deleting banks or uninstalling. An optional original parameter study is analytically authored, not a Yamaha factory bank and not a promise of musical sound.
