Looploom support.
Questions or reproducible problems: maga40@naver.com. Include your macOS version, Looploom build and the steps that failed. You can describe the input format without sending private audio.
Make and compare a cut.
- Choose Import audio, or Example to use the original bundled Harbor sound.
- Name the cut. Enter In and Out sample frames. Out is exclusive; every region must contain at least a quarter second.
- Choose Compare ±20 ms for up to three local alternatives. Keep exact length fixes the source region frame count, not the crossfaded output length. Use applies the chosen candidate.
- Set Crossfade. The tail/head overlap shortens the rendered loop. Compare the Raw and Rendered modes using Play on repeat; Stop ends playback. Editing the source or region stops playback.
- Enable Protect peak at 0.98 if the rendered audio is too loud. Check its applied gain and output values.
- Save cut to keep the local settings and source. Export WAV to a chosen file. Export edit recipe writes a separate JSON processing record for that same selection.
Return to the workspace.
If the window is closed, use Window → Show Looploom Workspace or Command-1. This reopens the editing surface. Saved cuts remain on the same Mac. Newly imported sources are copied to the app's local library; external moves do not remove those copies.
Older cuts saved before the source-copy update may still rely on an external file bookmark. Reopen that source successfully to migrate the copy. If the source is already missing, import it again.
Files and limits.
WAV, AIFF, M4A or MP3; mono/stereo; integer sample rates 8–192 kHz. Source: 0.25–300 seconds, up to 128 MiB, and up to 24 million decoded frames. Corrupt, incomplete or nonfinite samples are rejected. An invalid new import leaves the previous valid source intact.
Output is 16-bit PCM WAV, preserving the decoded source rate and channels. The JSON recipe records input/output hashes and settings but contains no audio. It cannot be imported as a project. Crossfading is not beat matching; audition every result.
Remove stored audio.
Close the current source using its × control. Right-click an unwanted saved cut and choose Delete saved cut. A private source copy is removed once neither the current source nor another saved cut references it. The original file and previously exported WAV/JSON files are not removed.
