The output is the point.

A marking packet contains a landscape A4 or US Letter PDF with 1:1 overlapping tiles, a physical-mm SVG guide, exact end/baseline CSV coordinates, a restorable JSON layout and printing instructions.

A focused hand-tool workflow.

Through-dovetail tail-face marking only: board width 40–600 mm, mating thickness 3–50 mm, 1–12 tails, narrow end pins 1–20 mm and geometric slope ratios 1:5, 1:6, 1:7, 1:8, 1:10. Canonical millimeters, optional decimal inches display. Up to 60 local layouts including recoverable Trash, with rename, search and duplication.

Mark waste between tails. Transfer pin marks from your actual cut tails. This is not a half-blind joint planner, router/CNC tool or fit/strength calculator. Verify the printed scale and actual stock; no printer-accuracy guarantee.

Support

Contact maga40@naver.com with Tailnook, app version, device and a description of the problem. Only send your layout if you choose to.

Why is my layout invalid?

The baseline width of every tail must remain at least 1 mm. Increase board width, reduce tail count or thickness, rebalance the weights, or use a gentler slope.

How do I print and join templates?

Choose A4 or US Letter in Stock & slope. Build the packet. The overview is not to scale. Print the numbered template tiles at Actual Size 100%, disable Fit and measure their 100 mm bar. Consecutive tiles overlap 5 mm; align using the stated x ranges. Printer settings are outside Tailnook.

How do I back up or restore?

Save Tailnook-project.json outside the app, then use Restore JSON in Layouts. Backups up to 512 KiB restore as a new project. Trash is recoverable until you confirm permanent deletion. Deleting the app removes its local library; there is no cloud sync.
