Read what the stone
has already shown.

Brush a fictional fossil slab and use visible row and column totals, exposed cells and the scans you actually spent to reason about covered cells.

100 fossil beds across five regions. Brush clears one safe layer, Chisel works faster with fracture risk, and two scans read local 3×3 areas. Completed specimens enter the local cabinet.

An actual fossil bed
An original ammonite illustration appears through the stone. The game’s row and column counts constrain this fictional slab.
Visible evidence, marked

Visible evidence, marked

Copper rings and crosses follow from public counts, exposed cells and earned scan readings. Unmarked cells stay unknown.

Read the reason before brushing

Read the reason before brushing

Choose a proved cell and read the local deduction. The actual button performs one ordinary safe brush stroke.

How this game keeps its rules

Opening the Evidence lens marks the excavation assisted. Any newly earned grade is capped at 2; earlier best grades are preserved. The lens uses local count propagation, not a full uniqueness solver or a peek beneath covered cells. The game is not a scientific reconstruction or professional excavation tool.

Kept on this device

Site progress, local cabinet, assistance use and spent scans remain on the device. Copy visible survey JSON uses the iOS clipboard and includes public observations and deduction reasons. It excludes the hidden cell mask and is not an importable backup.

There is no cross-device sync or developer account recovery. Resetting or uninstalling can remove local progress.
