CertLens Desk Privacy Policy

Gobling Company built CertLens Desk as a local-first macOS certificate inspection and renewal handoff utility. Pasted certificate text, validity checks, SAN host names, fingerprints, renewal notes, and copied reports stay on your Mac unless you choose to share them yourself.

1. Local Certificate Review

CertLens Desk processes pasted PEM or DER certificate text locally on the user's Mac. Certificate subjects, issuers, validity dates, SAN host names, fingerprints, renewal owner notes, deploy target labels, risk scores, copied reports, and review notes stay on the device unless the user chooses to copy or share them.

2. User-controlled Input

The app works with certificate text the user pastes or demo certificates bundled for review and screenshots. CertLens Desk does not scan the Mac, read keychains, monitor remote endpoints, connect to developer accounts, or collect certificates automatically.

3. User-initiated Output

When a user chooses Copy Report, CertLens Desk writes a local certificate or renewal report to the macOS clipboard. The app does not send that report to Gobling Company.

4. No Account Or Upload

CertLens Desk does not require an account and does not upload pasted certificate text, host names, fingerprints, renewal notes, copied reports, or usage activity to a Gobling Company server.

5. No Tracking

CertLens Desk does not include advertising SDKs, analytics SDKs, tracking SDKs, account creation, cloud sync, or a Gobling Company backend server for certificate data.

6. Apple Services

CertLens Desk uses Apple's system frameworks for local app operation, certificate parsing, clipboard actions, sandboxed Mac app behavior, and App Store purchase delivery. Apple may process purchase and device information under Apple's own policies.
