MediaLens Desk Privacy Policy

MediaLens Desk is a local-first macOS utility for inspecting video, audio, image, PDF, and other media file metadata. File paths, filenames, sizes, dates, dimensions, durations, codec details, comparison rows, and generated reports stay on the user's Mac unless the user chooses to copy or share them.

MediaLens Desk accesses only files the user imports through the macOS file picker or drag-and-drop. The app does not scan the user's disk, media folders, photo library, or network storage in the background.

MediaLens Desk does not require an account and does not upload media files, filenames, file paths, metadata reports, comparison results, or usage activity to a Gobling Company server.

The app does not include cloud sync, developer-server storage, account login, advertising, analytics, or tracking.

When the user chooses Copy Report, MediaLens Desk places a plain-text metadata report on the local macOS clipboard. When the user chooses Reveal in Finder, macOS opens the selected local file location.

Gobling Company does not receive clipboard contents or Finder activity.

MediaLens Desk uses Apple's system frameworks for local app operation, sandboxed user-selected file access, local media metadata reading, clipboard actions, Finder reveal actions, and App Store purchase delivery.

Apple may process purchase and device information under Apple's own terms and privacy policies. Gobling Company does not receive or store payment card details.
