Namelane Privacy Policy

Your card photographs and contact notes stay in the app on your device unless you choose to share an export.

Photos you choose

Namelane opens the camera when you request a capture, or Apple's photo picker when you choose an existing image. The selected card photo is copied into the app's local storage. It is not uploaded to Gobling Company.

On-device text recognition

Apple's Vision framework reads printed text on your device. Namelane suggests contact fields from that text. OCR can be inaccurate; you review and edit the fields against the original photo before marking the record verified. The optional sample is a fictional card drawn locally and processed by the same recognition flow.

Saved index

The app stores the original photo, extracted text, edited contact fields, your meeting context and notes in its local app container. Search is performed on the device. Deleting a card removes its photo and saved record from the app. Device backups may retain local data according to your Apple settings.

Export and sharing

Namelane creates vCard and CSV files on your device from records you have verified. A file leaves the app only when you choose a destination in Apple's share sheet. The chosen destination may process it under its own privacy policy.

No account or tracking

Namelane has no account, subscription, advertising, analytics, tracking, cloud sync, or developer-operated transfer of photos and contacts. Apple handles App Store purchases and system camera, photo picker, sharing and backups under its own policies. Gobling Company does not receive payment card information.
