Merge a fixed-camera still sequence into star trails or light trails. Review frames and take the finished image with its processing record.

Compose the sequence

Import JPEG, PNG, HEIC or TIFF from Files or Photos. Full mode keeps maximum sRGB channel values. Comet fades earlier frames; Javelin fades both ends. Average is an unaligned arithmetic mean. Exclude frames, compare sources and result, subtract one matched dark image and adjust exposure. Below a horizontal boundary, optionally retain the first included frame with a 2% feather.

Save and deliver

Source copies and settings stay in local sessions. Reopen, rename, duplicate and delete sessions. Export 8-bit sRGB PNG and JPEG with Frames.csv, Session.json, Processing.pdf and Readme.txt in a ZIP. Share the PNG alone or the package using iOS. Export packages do not include original sources and cannot restore an editable session; keep originals separately. Source EXIF is not copied into result images.

Limits

120 frames per session, 32 MB per file, 512 MB sources per session, 20 saved sessions and 1 GB library storage. Matching oriented dimensions, fixed camera. Downsample-only 1024/2048/3072 pixel long-edge limits, no enlarging. Processing uses decoded 8-bit sRGB channel values, not linear-light/HDR integration. No camera capture, RAW development, sky alignment, gap filling, automatic aircraft removal or timelapse. Frame exclusion can leave gaps. The optional 48-frame example is synthetic and explicitly labeled.

Privacy policy

Effective October 1, 2026. Gobling Company provides Orbweft. No account, advertising, analytics, tracking or third-party data SDK. The app does not collect or transmit photographs, source names, sessions, settings or exports to a developer server. Import, composition and storage run locally.

Only images selected by you through Files or the system Photos picker are imported. The app retains source copies, names, selection states and settings in its local library. It does not require full photo-library access.

System sharing sends only the image or package you select to a chosen destination. Packages include finished images, original source names and processing settings. Review these before sharing; destinations have their own privacy practices.

Swipe to delete a session in Saved sessions. Deleting sessions removes app-local sources and settings. Uninstalling removes app-local data. Already exported/shared files remain at their destinations and must be deleted there. Device backup may include app-local data according to Apple/computer settings.

Support receives information you choose to email. Website visits make ordinary requests to its hosting provider. Neither is required for local image processing.

Terms of use

Process and distribute only images you have the right to use. Check exported images before delivery. Results depend on capture settings, camera stability and source quality; no calibrated astrophotography or image quality guarantee. Keep original-source backups. Purchases follow App Store terms and applicable law.
