Audio Assembly LocalAndroid edition

Support

Create an assembly

A normal installation starts empty. Create a named assembly and choose local audio through Android Files. Order the imported copies, edit clip names, include or exclude takes, and set the silence after each clip. Only included clips enter the joined audio. The final included clip never adds trailing silence. Source and rendered audio have native playback with seeking.

Supported sources

PCM WAV (8/16/24/32-bit or 32-bit float), uncompressed AIFF, and compatible Android-decoded M4A, MP3, FLAC and OGG. Mono and stereo from 8 to 96 kHz are supported. DRM-protected, multichannel and unsupported codec variants are rejected. Every accepted source is copied privately as 44.1 kHz stereo PCM16 WAV; mono is duplicated to both channels. Resampling, filtering and bit-depth changes can alter sample values. Original selected files are never modified.

Save a render

Create audio joins the selected source copies and exact silence. It generates WAV, AAC-LC M4A (192 kbps target), cue CSV, PDF and Markdown, plus a self-contained project ZIP. Cue frames and positions refer to the WAV; AAC may include encoder padding. Render history preserves a snapshot, so editing a sequence does not silently replace earlier outputs. Save uses your chosen Android Files destination. Share ZIP opens a recipient chooser; the app does not send files on your behalf.

Project ZIP recovery

The archive includes all normalized source copies, including excluded clips, the project, rendered audio, cue sheets, README and a SHA-256 manifest. It does not contain original source-file bytes, the entire library or an iOS-compatible project. Import ZIP checks archive paths, bounds, every file checksum and source WAV data, previews the project, then adds a new independent copy after confirmation. Existing projects remain unchanged. Keep each project's ZIP before uninstalling; there is no automatic backup or sync.

Limits

Up to 20 assemblies, 20 clips per assembly and 20 render records. Sources must be 0.1 seconds–30 minutes; an assembly can last up to 60 minutes. A selected source can be at most 512 MiB. Stored normalized sources are limited to 2 GiB; sources and renders together to 4 GiB. Project ZIP is limited to 2 GiB, including uncompressed contents. The app checks available space before importing and rendering. Split long projects or remove unused sources and renders when needed.

Local files and deletion

Clip deletion removes its private source copy after the library is safely saved. Existing render snapshots and their ZIP copies remain until that render is deleted. Assembly deletion also removes its private render history. Files previously saved or shared outside the app remain in their chosen location. Atomic save failures preserve the previous index; an unreadable library is protected from automatic overwrite. Contact support before clearing data. Android automatic backup is disabled; uninstalling or clearing app storage removes local data.
