Convert a torque
Enter a decimal value and choose N·m, ft·lbf or in·lbf. The three results use exact SI conversion factors. Changing the input unit keeps the entered number and recalculates the interpretation. Use a dot or comma as the decimal mark; thousands separators are not accepted. Scientific notation is accepted. Copy conversions writes the actual text to the clipboard.
Save a specification
Save specification requires a title, positive target and specification source. Record the manufacturer document, revision and location. Fastener, grade, condition and notes are descriptive. They never change a torque automatically. The production library starts empty. Saved records can be reused, edited or deleted; deletion requires confirmation.
Adapter calculation
Setting = target × L / (L + E × cos(angle)). L is grip-centre to square-drive centre; E is the drive-to-fastener offset. Both lengths use the same mm or inch unit. The rigid adapter lies in the wrench plane and force acts perpendicular to the wrench at the measured grip. Zero degrees extends forward; 90 degrees has no lever-arm correction; 180 degrees points back and requires a positive remaining arm. This is not torque-angle tightening. Check the actual procedure and calibrated tool range.
Optional passes
Enter only increasing percentages required by your procedure, ending at 100, with up to 6 values. These calculate user-defined target values, not a recommended sequence, measurement or reminder.
Handoff files
Build handoff snapshots every saved specification and source. The ZIP contains Library.json, Torque.csv, Torque.txt, Torque.pdf and Manifest.json with SHA-256 hashes for the four payloads. Save ZIP, CSV and JSON use Android Files; Share ZIP opens the native chooser. Backup JSON is the Android edition’s own format. Detailed reports are English. CSV quotes fields and prefixes formula-like text with an apostrophe.
Backup and recovery
Import backup reads an individual JSON file, validates its format and shows the incoming/current record counts. Confirming replaces the current library; cancelling keeps it. An unreadable private library pauses changes and preserves the original file. Try again rereads it; Save original library exports its exact bytes. Keep an independent valid backup.
Limits
Up to 300 saved specifications and 2 MiB for the library or an imported backup. Specified targets must be positive and no more than 1,000,000 N·m; converter inputs are bounded at 1,000,000,000 in the entered unit. Wrench length is positive and at most 10,000; adapter offset is 0–10,000 in the same selected mm/in unit. Angles are 0–180 degrees; nonpositive effective arms and settings above 1,000,000 N·m are blocked. These are software bounds, not a tool rating.
