LUTScope Cube Inspector

Support

Start an inspection

Create an inspection and add a name, client/delivery and notes. Import one or more 3D .cube files through Android Files. Files may be 16 MiB each; each inspection holds up to 8 LUTs and the app holds up to 8 inspections.

Read the structure

The app checks exact row count, 2–65 grid size, finite numeric values, domain ordering, duplicate/late headers and unsupported directives. Output values outside 0–1 are a warning, not automatically an invalid table. 1D and combined shaper LUTs are not supported. Original bytes remain available even when rendering and normalized export are blocked.

Use a reference image

Import a JPEG or PNG. The decoded reference is 8-bit sRGB at most 2 million pixels and 2048 px on the long edge. Strength changes the actual rendered image. The split slider reveals original versus result. Preview clipping is counted; the image is not a full-resolution color-managed master. PNG proof files do not retain original EXIF metadata.

Inspect a slice and query

Grid shows one blue-axis layer. Red increases to the right and green downward. A numeric RGB query uses trilinear interpolation and limits input to the declared domain. Technical findings and reports are in English.

Export files you can verify

Deliver → Save ZIP opens Android Files. Original.cube is byte-preserved. Audit.json, Findings.csv, Readme.txt and Manifest.json are included. Supported consistent tables also include Normalized.cube, or Normalized-clamped.cube when you explicitly choose clamping. Reference.png and Result.png are included when a rendered reference is available. Manifest SHA-256 values describe each payload. Save cancellation returns to the app; sharing uses your selected providers.

Storage and deletion

The app limits private source/proof storage to 200 MiB. Delete a selected LUT using the inspection controls or delete a complete inspection from Help; externally saved copies remain. App data is local with backup disabled. An unreadable index is retained for user-requested original export from Help. Save important originals and reports externally before uninstalling.
