Start a plan
Create a workspace, add endpoints and register their addresses. Each endpoint holds an IPv4 or DNS host, UDP port, role and environment. Each address holds a literal ASCII OSC path, one documented value family (f, i, s, T/F or b), send/receive direction, declared rate, owner, required flag and note. T/F documents the Boolean family; it is not a literal OSC tag sequence.
Connect and audit
Routes connect a declared source endpoint and path to a target endpoint and path. Transform fields are notes, not executable processing. Enable or disable a route in its editor.
Ten document checks cover nonempty content, literal path syntax, host/port syntax, duplicate sockets, overlapping address directions, missing address endpoints, missing route endpoints, unregistered enabled route paths, duplicate enabled routes and declared rates. Host comparisons ignore DNS case and IPv4 leading zeros. Both overlaps Sends and Receives at the same endpoint/path. Disabled routes skip active path/registration/duplicate checks, but missing route endpoints remain errors. Required addresses need a positive finite rate; other rates must be finite and nonnegative.
These checks do not verify types, transforms, device compatibility, network reachability, transport or measured traffic. A passed document audit is not a working-network certification. Declared rate totals sum nonnegative address rates; negative values count as zero and remain audit failures. Totals are not route-expanded traffic or bandwidth.
Import and revisions
Import accepts one OSCRoute iOS or Android workspace JSON, up to 2 MiB, through Android Files. It retains the plan content and renews object IDs and internal references to create an independent copy. It never overwrites an existing plan. Other OSC JSON formats and CSV import are unsupported. Duplicate revision creates another independent copy.
Save and share
Handoff exports the saved plan as JSON, its quoted address registry as CSV, or all ten document checks and offending objects as a text audit. CSV preserves literal text, commas, quotes and line breaks. Import spreadsheet columns as text to avoid interpreting formula-like values. Android Files controls output destinations; a cancelled picker saves nothing. A provider error can leave an incomplete external file; retry and check the result.
Share opens Android’s recipient chooser. Delivery depends on the recipient app. Each share gets a separate cached file; creating a new share does not overwrite an earlier one. Cache is limited to 64 MiB and Android may clear it. Save independent external copies before Help → Clear cached exports, which can invalidate old share links.
Storage and recovery
The library permits 24 workspaces, each with up to 64 endpoints, 512 addresses and 512 routes, and at most 8 MiB in total. Names allow 120 characters, paths 240, notes 2000, workspace notes 4000 and finite rates within ±1e12 Hz. Planning values can remain invalid until corrected in Audit. The topology map shows up to the first six endpoints; all are available in the endpoint list.
Changes are committed to private storage before the visible library is replaced. If the library cannot be read, edits are blocked and existing bytes are preserved. Help offers Retry opening library and Save unreadable library. Deleting an endpoint or address leaves referenced paths visible as audit issues. Deleting a workspace removes its private record after confirmation. Saved or shared copies remain. Automatic Android cloud backup is disabled. Clearing app data or uninstalling removes private plans.
