Start a comparison

Select two readable PDFs through the Original and Revision slots. Choose Compare pages. The optional Try a sample proof action imports fictional North Pier files; ordinary launch does not create sample records.

Review and export

Use page controls to move through the proof. iPhone switches among Older, Revised and Difference. iPad shows paired pages. Export creates a named PDF comparison report and opens the system share sheet. The app compares page indices, not semantic text or automatically aligned pages.

Saved comparisons unavailable

Do not uninstall the app to resolve a storage error: that removes its local data. Check device storage and try again. Pagepair pauses adding and deleting when its index cannot be read and leaves the unreadable bytes and PDFs unchanged. If the index remains damaged, retry alone cannot reconstruct it; contact support before taking destructive steps.

Finish removing files

A deletion is recorded before removing the PDFs. If cleanup is interrupted, reopen the app or use Try again to finish it. A missing-PDF entry remains visible in history so it is not silently lost from the next save.
