Start a photo round in 1.1
- Create a session or open a saved one. New sessions have no fabricated round.
- Choose Add photo and import a still PNG or JPEG through Files.
- Select Ring center, Inner center and Ring edge. Tap the image for each point, or enter both X and Y and press Apply X / Y. Nudge by one working pixel, use 2× view or undo a placement.
- Enter a title and save. Add another round for comparison.
- Choose Compare to select two records. Use Export → Create export files, then preview or share.
Formats and coordinates
Single PNG or JPEG, up to 8 MB, at least 32 pixels on each edge and at most 30 megapixels. No FITS, RAW, animation or video. Original bytes are retained; EXIF orientation is applied to a preview with a maximum 2048-pixel edge. All photo coordinates and the centering ratio use that working preview. The original and working dimensions are displayed.
Comparison scope
The ratio is center distance divided by your marked reference radius, multiplied by 100. Image direction uses 0° right and 90° down; it is undefined at zero offset. Consistent focus, ring choice, scale, orientation and observing conditions matter. This is not an optical pass or a calibrated physical adjustment.
Export and restore
PNG overlays, PDF, CSV and original-source ZIP are created in separate directories. Share them to a location you control. A JSON backup restores as a separate session via Import JSON backup. Limits are 100 sessions, 500 rounds per session, 128 MB of photos and 180 MB per imported backup. CSV spreadsheet-formula text is prefixed with an apostrophe; JSON retains the original text. Long PDF notes have an explicit continuation label; CSV/JSON contain the full notes.
Existing records and storage errors
Version 1.0 values, notes and dates are preserved. Legacy entries have not been reverified; 1.0 could insert a placeholder round when creating a session, so verify whether its values were measured. The old mechanical settings remain in JSON for compatibility; 1.1 does not use them for turn recommendations. If a saved library cannot be read, the app protects it from replacement and offers the original file for support. Export important work before deleting a session or removing the app.
