Your first cast

Choose a field study from the fish row. The ring marks its target. Tap the water near that shadow. In Tackle, match the fish’s depth and choose its favorite lure for a quicker bite. The guide lists each preference.

Strike and reel

When the red float dips, tap Strike. Hold the reel to bring the fish in; release as tension rises. Keep the marker between the two limits. A tight line snaps and a slack line lets the fish escape. If you miss the bite or cast into reeds, try again; nothing is spent.

Studies and unlocks

Match the requested fish, lure and light, then meet its accuracy and control requirements. Cast accuracy depends on distance from the shadow. Control measures time spent in the safe tension band. Five different studies in the previous water open the next water and earn its rod. Repeating one clear does not count as another distinct study. Equip an earned rod in Tackle.

Gentle fishing and sound

Settings provide a wider bite window and easier tension control with Gentle fishing, quiet motion, music, effects and haptics. Gentle catches are marked in the journal. Preferences persist across app restarts.

Journal and records

All catches are released. The journal keeps the last 200 catches; personal length records remain after older catches leave the journal. Share journal exports JSON through your device’s share sheet. JSON files cannot be imported into the game. Progress stays on this device, with no cloud sync; deleting the app deletes local progress.
