Make an edition

  1. Add plate chooses one of 20 original cuts, or Import artwork chooses a PNG in native Files.
  2. Select a plate in the rail. Set ink, density, width and quarter-turn rotation. Drag the paper preview or use Horizontal/Vertical controls to place it.
  3. Isolate plate inspects one layer without changing export. Visible/Hidden, Duplicate, Move earlier and Remove change the document. Undo remembers up to 40 session edits.
  4. Tap the edition title to rename. Save commits the edition. Studio menu → Your editions reopens or deletes it. New/imported work asks before discarding unsaved changes.

Files and limits

PNG: at most 4 MB/1024 pixels per side, noninterlaced 8-bit grayscale or RGB, with optional alpha. Dark pixels become coverage. Up to four supplied masks are sampled to 512 pixels per side; up to six plates total. No SVG, PDF, animated image, 16-bit or CMYK import. Edition JSON: version 1, at most 2 MB, with validated values and embedded masks.

Export image writes 1200 × 1600 RGB PNG through native Files. Export edition pack writes a ZIP with composite.png, placed grayscale separations, editable edition JSON and Readme. A hidden plate has a blank separation. Edition JSON also exports separately. These files do not restore campaign progress.

The preview is 600 × 800. Both preview and output use digital RGB multiply and nearest sampling. They are not physical ink calibration, printer control, certified print proofs or a promise about DPI/bleed.

Storage and recovery

Up to 24 editions/16 MB aggregate. Save confirmation appears after the write commits. Invalid imports and failed saves retain the prior draft or saved data. If a saved library is unreadable, it is protected; the explicit new-library action retains the original file. No cloud sync. Uninstalling may remove local work. Keep exported copies yourself.

Play a commission

Studio menu → 100 print commissions. Study the proof, select cut/ink/rotation/registration and Pull the press for each pass. Hint helps align a pass and reduces its rating; a misprint requires a fresh sheet. A real completed commission saves its best impression and unlocks the next. Personal editions and imported files never grant awards. New workspace follows system text and scrolls; legacy commission text is bounded at 1.4.
