Import a document

Choose Import PDF and select a readable, unsigned, unencrypted PDF in Android’s file picker. Existing bookmarks are loaded. The library holds up to 15 PDFs, each up to 64 MiB and 500 pages. Password-protected, encrypted, signed or damaged files are rejected. If a bookmark destination is unsupported, choose a physical page target before exporting.

Edit the outline

Tap a chapter to inspect its target page. Tap its page button to edit the title and target, or open its menu to move a branch, nest it under the previous sibling, move it out one level or delete the branch. Nested chapters move with their parent. Undo restores the last outline edit while the document remains open. Physical pages start at 1, independent of printed page labels. Use up to 1,500 chapters and 12 levels.

Export and save

Exports → Create PDF & CSV writes Outlined.pdf and Outline.csv. The PDF contains the replacement bookmarks; the CSV lists order, level, title and page. The app reopens each PDF to check the outline. Preview the actual file, choose Save and finish Android’s picker. File saved means the destination stream closed successfully. Share opens another app and does not confirm delivery. Older exports are retained, up to 8 sets per document; creating a ninth removes the oldest local set.

Storage and recovery

Work is saved privately after each successful edit. Save exported PDFs outside the app to retain your final outline; importing one creates a new editable document. Documents → menu → Save original PDF saves the unchanged imported source. Deleting a local document removes its draft, private source and local exports. External saved copies remain. If a saved library fails verification, it is protected: Save recovery ZIP preserves its raw library, sources and outputs before an explicit reset. This ZIP is an inspection/recovery archive, not an automatic restore format; extract its PDFs to import them again. The 512 MiB private workspace limit includes source PDFs and exports. Clearing app storage or uninstalling removes private work.
