Start a project
Tap plus to import a scalar PLY or Plymere.json backup. Or use the optional original ceramic study from the empty library. It is an analytic example, not a scan. Drag to orbit, pinch to zoom, use the cube for front/side/top and the frame button to reset.
Cut and reduce
Bounds are inclusive fractions of the source extent. Exact bounds accepts finite source coordinates within that extent. Expand bounds if the cut is empty. Density keeps the first input point per voxel; coordinates are not averaged or rescaled.
Save and restore
Save a named cut, then restore or delete it from Saved. Projects lists local sources. Project actions offers rename, independent duplication and confirmed deletion. Limits: 24 projects and 64 named cuts per source. Export a backup before deleting.
Build files
Build files creates Cut.ply, Original.ply, Coordinates.csv, Plymere.json, Proof.png and Cut-summary.pdf. Tap files for system previews. Some formats have no system preview renderer; Share all > Save to Files works independently. PLY retains all supported scalar properties; CSV includes source index/x/y/z/RGB only. JSON restores an independent source, settings and saved-cut history. PNG/PDF are schematic, may sample dense clouds and are not measurement certificates.
Supported input
PLY 1.0 ASCII/binary little- or big-endian; required x/y/z, optional complete unsigned 8-bit RGB, up to 64 scalar properties,500k points and 64 MiB. Names printable ASCII up to 80 characters; coordinates finite within±10¹² source units. JSON up to 96 MiB. Nonempty faces/other elements, vertex lists, Gaussian splats and malformed/nonfinite values are rejected without replacing the current source.
