Start a comparison

Choose Compare drafts. Select a baseline and revised .fountain or UTF-8 .txt file through Files, enter a name and compare. Try the fictional example provides an optional original sample; it never populates your library until you choose it.

Review and export

Select a scene, add a note and mark Reviewed. Export report builds named PDF, CSV, Markdown, JSON and ZIP files. Preview PDF uses the actual report. Share opens the OS share sheet; choose Save to Files to keep an external backup.

Restore

Library actions → Restore comparison accepts a single Reviser JSON comparison up to 4 MB. It creates a separate restored item and keeps notes and original bytes. JSON inside the ZIP can be extracted in Files and restored.

Limits and matching

1 MiB / 3,000 lines / 2,000 characters per line / 500 headings per draft; 40 comparisons. PDF exports have a 400-page cap; larger comparisons include a PDF-limit text file and retain complete CSV, Markdown and JSON reports. Scene titles are normalized and matched by occurrence. Renaming creates removed/added scenes; repeated headings show a warning. Changes are literal and classification is heuristic. PDF/FDX import, editing, collaboration and cloud sync are not provided.
